Dear All,
As we prepare our hearts and minds to reach out to people in our community with
the Good News this month, let us remember the words of Jesus who said, "I am the
light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will
have the light of life.” (John 8:12 NIV) The Lord is not asking for us to
shine, but to allow the light from the One who lives in us to be seen. Christ is
the light that brings life to all who embrace Him. He is the very source that
gives purpose and direction to us even when we do not know where we are going or
why we are struggling. Through His power, we can share a message of hope with
people who do not believe that they can come to the heart of God. We must remind
them that Jesus removed every obstacle that separated God from His people. Just
as the curtain in the temple was torn apart at the crucifixion, so has the Old
Testament Law with all its commandments that stood against us been abolished.
(Ephesians 2:15 KJV) The Savior is, right now, preparing a place for us in
God's house that will be far better than anything we can possibly imagine or
experience on earth. There is healing, liberation, and joy unending with Christ
as Lord and guardian of our souls. The invitations are already going out in the
realm of the spirit. Heaven is excited! So let us, with renewed energy, take the
next step in calling WHOSOEVER to come see that the Lord is good and that His
mercy endures forever.
