Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Sometimes life can get so hetic with all the stress of work, family, school, and
even church that we can forget what this experience on earth is really suppossed
to be about. One of Jesus' greatest lessons is that we are not here just for
our own benefit. God has a perfect plan in sending each one of us into the
world. Our lives are so incredbibly filled with meaning that we won't be able
to grasp the fullness of that reality until we get to the other side of
eternity. Each person has been strategically placed at the exact time and place
so that they could connect with others to make an impact for good. So often,
we get wrapped up in our own cares and concerns that we forget that it's not
always about us. Yes, Jesus came so that the blessing of God would come upon us
because he loves us and wants good things for us, but most of the time the
blessings we receive are given so that we can share them with a hurting world.
God has allowed pain and suffering to exists so that we, his people, might
demonstrate his loving kindness, gentleness, and mercy to everyone we come in
contact with. Just as Jesus came as a beacon of light to those who were in
darkness, we too are called to let our light shine so that others may see good
in this world and hopefully choose the right path. If you find yourself growing
weary in doing good today, receive God's word and it will nourish you. Psalm
29:11 says, "The LORD gives strength to his people. The LORD blesses his people
with peace." He knows that you get tired and want to quit, but take heart. He
is the one that provides a way for you to continue moving forward despite all
the obstacles. It is HIS strength that will carry you on. It is HIS peace that
will guard your heart and mind. So, be encouarged. Let GOD's strength fill you
up so that you can walk in the path that he has specifically marked out for you
while you are here on planet Earth.
God bless you,
Pastor Eric
