Dear Friends,
Do you know that the Lord loves you? I'm not talking about mentally agreeing
that there is a God who lives somewhere up there who loves all the people in the
world. I'm talking about a real firsthand knowledge of his love for you
personally. Jesus died upon the cross because he loved us so much that he was
willing to lay everything down for you and I. This act on his part was meant to
demonstrate how God really feels about us. It is something that he intends for
every single person to come to KNOW at the depth of their being. Through the
Holy Spirit, we can live each day knowing that we are his beloved child in
whom he is well pleased. Some of you may say that God is well pleased with
Jesus, but not me. However, this is not true. You see, our God has made a way
for us to be viewed in the same light as his only-begotten Son. The Bible
teaches when we put our faith in the Son of God who died for us, we become new
creatures in
Christ Jesus. The moment you give your heart to Jesus, you become alive in
him. There is no power in heaven or on the earth or under the earth that can
separate you from God because you have been sealed unto Him for all
eternity. Since you have God's seal of approval, you can live a life full of
the awareness that you are
blessed and highly favored.
I encourage you to remind yourself every single day that you are God's beloved
because when you reknew your mind on the truth, it doesn't matter what your
circumstances are. You no longer live a life based on the external things
happening around you. There is a steady flow of peace and joy that will sustain
you through every trial you face. You will begin to have confidence in the
goodness of God that is truly operating in your life. Others will see that and
give glory to God for what is going on in you. My prayer is that we can all
continue to grow in the knowlege of God's unconditional love and that we
experience it in a very tangible way this season of our lives. Thank you for
listening to me week in and week out. Sometimes I feel like I say the same
things over and over again, but the more we hear the Word of God concerning the
grace that we are now
in,
the more we will have faith in who God is and who we are because of him.
