About Us

To bring the power of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Austin Metropolitan area through proclaiming a message of RECONCILIATION to ALL people, praying for the RESTORATION of the wounded/broken-hearted, and through the WORSHIP of the Living God

WHO ARE WE?

We are a church made up of people who have been gathered together from all backgrounds. We have a genuine love for God and want to live out and share the GOOD NEWS of salvation, healing, and restoration for ALL people regardless of any social or moral label that has been given to them by the world. We are here to proclaim freedom from rejection, freedom from alienation, and freedom from separation through the understanding of who Jesus really is and who we are because of Him. Through God's message of acceptance, and the understanding of our purpose, we encourage you to take the journey that will lead to the discovery of who God created you to be.

WE ARE A PLACE TO WORSHIP

The Bible teaches that God is spirit and that we are to worship Him in “spirit and in truth."  Therefore, we believe in worshiping spiritually for the purpose of honoring God’s one and only begotten son, Jesus, who is the truth. We believe that worship is so much more than just singing songs together. It is the awesome experience of responding to the love and presence of God, who comes in our midst as we sing praise from our hearts. We believe that each person should be free to worship in whatever manner they feel led. Some people raise their hands, wave banners or flags, dance, clap, while others are simply still. Just as each one of us was created to be a unique individual, we each have our own way of showing our love for God.

WE ARE A PLACE TO GROW

We teach principles and values from the Bible to help people grow in their relationship with the Lord and with other people. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ goes even beyond accepting His free give of salvation. It also means depending upon Him to lead and guide us in everyday life. The Word of God is the key that brings spiritual growth and development, which gives us the ability to walk in victory no matter what our circumstances are. Therefore, our church encourages its members to mature through Scripture reading, prayer, participation in small focus groups, and relational ministry that is in keeping with God’s character.

WE ARE A PLACE TO LOVE AND BE LOVED

The Bible says that no matter what language we speak, no matter what gifts and talents we have, no matter how much knowledge, or how spiritual we may be, if we do not have love for one another, we are nothing. Love is the greatest of all the characteristics of God. Our desire is to walk in this same conquering love of God, which allows us to love others without exception or partiality. We love simply because God first loved us. He showed this love by sending His Son, our defender, into the world to be a substitute for us by taking upon Himself the punishment for our wrong-doings so that we may have ETERNAL LIFE. We seek to reach out to all people in words and actions that demonstrate God’s unconditional love. We want you to feel welcome to share in the Love of God and be a part of the incredible things that are happening among us.

OUR CORE VALUES

· For all people to live out their purpose while investing in the lives of others.

· To build bridges and tear down walls of religion and hostility.

OUR PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for blessing us with your Holy Spirit, who empowers us to preach good news to the poor. We ask that you would grant us supernatural favor in healing the brokenhearted, setting the captives free, and releasing the oppressed. May we clearly proclaim your grace to all peoples we encounter. Grant us a heart that would cause us to reach out and comfort those who are weighed down by the cares of this world. Bless each person who comes our way with a crown of beauty. Help them to throw away their ashes and put on the garment of praiseinstead of a spirit of despair. Through your Son, Jesus, may we become the oaks of righteousness you promised we would be – trees planted for the display of your splendor. Bless everything that our hands touch that we may rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places that have long been devastated. With your help, we know that all things are possible for those who believe. May we choose to always believe.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
